Walking pub tour to look at Ludlow’s heritage in a new way

An award winning beer writer is bringing her successful pub tour to Ludlow. 

Laura Hadland ran several successful events in Shrewsbury last year, introducing guests to some delicious new beers and the fascinating histories of the local hostelries. In association with Slow Food Ludlow, Laura will be guiding guests around four of Ludlow’s best pubs and introducing visitors to the joys of Britain’s unique brewing heritage, in the form of delicious cask ale.

The tour will start at the Ludlow Brewing Company. The group will wend their way up to the Dog Hangs Well, followed by the Blue Boar before finishing in the Rose and Crown. Guests will enjoy a tasty half of cask ale in each pub, including the products of at least two of Shropshire’s finest breweries. “It is an opportunity for guests to find out a little bit more about the town’s history, while hopefully discovering some new styles of beer,” Laura said. “Cask ale is a uniquely British thing, something that sets us apart from the rest of the world. I hope that this tour offer an entertaining evening for both beer aficionados and people who are totally new to beer.”
